NGK Laser Platinum® spark plugs are the masters of ignition performance in addition to a longer service life. Dual platinum surfaces on the centre and ground electrodes ensure a much slow wear rate compared to standard plugs. Idle stability is improved along with superior anti fouling, improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
By utilizing the highest amount of platinum content in the industry, NGK has created an extremely long-life, high performance spark plug. The laser welded platinum tip on the center electrode works in harmony with the ground electrodes platinum pad or tip (depending on part number) to achieve such results.
The ground electrode is also taper cut, in simple terms this is done to reduce as much obstruction as possible to the flame as it starts to burn from the initial spark. This allows for a more complete, efficient burn which in-turn increases MPG.
